I’d stand, a tall promontory
Stretching out to welcome you
You’d come with graced flow
Tired from travel
Wisdom of the far
Stories of the sea
We’d embrace, fondling tides
Kisses of longing breaths
Then you’ll curl, along my creek
Tired eyes shut to a dreamless sleep.
