Where is the love?
The world today suffers a great loss-
the loss of living a life of intimacy.
What even is love today-
reduced to only a fight for supremacy.
Short lived, fading, conditional and selfish,
Our love tries to conceal our own hypocrisy.
To a raw giving soul, we turn a blind eye,
with who we had to gently shut our eyes,
go speechless in ecstasy.
Conveniently forgotten, is the divine truth,
that we were born out of love –
meant to love and be loved.
Alas… with our egos we work hand in glove.
