Wish we were syntonic –
you and me,
just like you are with the sky.

Each time I gaped in,
you rippled away my stares,
each word uttered,
lost in the deep waters.

Feelings meandered away,
longings flowed aimlessly,
your silent waters,
never heeded my calls.

After all,
you had always only loved the sky…
