The fear of loss,
filled her with intense pain,
she stayed numb and sad,
as if she had lost all that she had.

She held on, struggling through the trap,
tried to get a grip,
“there is more to life…”, she gasped,
“…..I cannot afford to trip”.

She worked tirelessly, on self,
mending her ways,
and as time flew, she regained poise,
her grit had come to her rescue.

“Oh, what a journey it has been…”,
she exclaims-
“…from being enslaved to pain,
to finding freedom in the new calm.”

She now has no one to blame,
empowered and unmoved,
she lives in gratitude,
for she has only gained!
