‘Half A Man’ is a song by Australian singer and songwriter- Dean Lewis Grant Loaney. Lewis wrote the song with Hayley Warner and Jon Hume, which was eventually featured in his debut album, ‘A Place We Knew’ which was released on March 22, 2019.

The song is an emotive piece where we see Lewis expressing his insecurities and mental acuity. He calls himself ‘Half A Man’, holding a reduced image of self. As someone who is afraid, he lacks conviction and self-love. He is unable to even gauge where he stands in his life, or where his relationship stands. After all you must love yourself before you love anyone else.

The writing is a fluid representation of his state of mind, a heartbroken man in agony. And so is this melody. With melancholic shades backed by its painful lyrics, Half A Man hits you as it perfectly portrays the grief this man holds.
