When she stopped waiting for him,
the world suddenly appeared to glow.
Perhaps it always shone,
but she was ignorant-
looking and waiting in the dull and dark,
to find pieces of herself,
that she entrusted him.
But on making peace with her broken self,
she was the one who healed herself.

Now she shines and positively flows,
giving no more pieces away,
realising her true worth,
she gathered herself, never to lose again.
It took parting from him,
to reunite with her self-
a rebirth of sorts.
“Not all happy endings need two…”
she gracefully says, “..I am enough”!

  1. A powerful poem Nida and yes, we are enough to deal with scars or relying on strength, at times.
