A daughter and a son
are raised so differently.
While a daughter is taught lessons
of silence and endurance,
a son is taught to fight
when his already low self-esteem is hurt.
A daughter is restricted,
even as a son is left wilding-
with the fear that the first might
disharmonize the rhythm of this society,
while it is always the latter who does that.
Ironically, these parents
end up protecting their daughters
from men they allowed their sons to grow up to be!
