Falling never makes a sound,
yet everything around turns loud.
The swish of the wind
turns to a deafening roar,
the sound like a warning
is hard to ignore.

But only when the land hits feet,
does the world skip a beat;
and only when passersby sympathize,
does the reality hit deep.
The sound of warning
is real enough to leave.
