Overview
Samsung introduced their first mid range phone with the highest battery capacity of a monstrous 6000mAh.
Display
The Galaxy M30s has a brilliant large Super AMOLED + Infinity U display with 6.4 inch FHD having 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution with a screen ratio greater than 91 percent and a max brightness of 420 nits.
Performance
M30s is powered with all new Samsung Exynos 9611 processor with four cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and the other four clocked at 1.7 GHz, which is running on one UI based on Android 9.0 Pie. 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants available.
Camera
Earlier Samsung introduced the first triple camera in the mid-range series, The Galaxy A7 2018. And later they added telephoto camera to take the next leap into the quad camera system in the Galaxy A9 2018. Now it seems like they are back to triple rear camera system in Galaxy M30s.
Triple rear camera system comprises of ultra wide camera,main camera and the depth camera. The 123 degree ultra wide camera having an 8MP sensor with F2.2, whereas the main camera with 48MP having a clear and bright F2.0 lens and the depth camera having 5MP with F2.2 lens which enables you to live focus.
It also features a 16MP selfie camera with F2.0 above that screen. No front flash support though.
Storage
128 GB/64 GB variants of internal memory available to store your photos, movies and files for easy access and you can have up to 512GB of expandable storage via a micro SD card.
Battery
It comes with a 6000mAh monstrous non-removable battery with most convenient USB Type-C compatibility.
Build and Design
Speaker placed at the bottom alongside 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. In addition, well positioned reliable fingerprint sensor placed in the rear panel of the phone. Dual SIM with dual VoLTE support as well.
It measures 159.0 x 75.1 x 8.9 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams.
The phone comes in Sapphire Blue, Opal Black, and Pearl White color options.
Additional Information
Face Recognition technology grants access to the phone as well. It also features Always on Display, which helps you to view more key information such as date, weather alerts, time and incoming notification in a flash.
The phone also features Scene Optimizer with 20 different modes and Flaw Detection detecting Eye Blink, Facial Blur, Backlit, etc. which enables you to start capturing enhanced images straight away. And it claims to have SAR value of only 0.468 Watt per kg.
However, notification LED and NFC is not available. And it will take around 2 hours and 30 minutes for a full recharge of the battery.
Price
Samsung has priced the 64 GB variant at around Rs 13999(US$ 199) and the 128 GB variant at Rs 16999(US$ 240).
